Sec2 Camp Day3 (2E8)

Zhi jun

The event that I enjoy the most is the camp fire. I enjoy the campfire because I like the cheers and songs not only that, I also learn how to respect by paying attention to then one who is talking. The whole class also put in a lot of efforts in the performance. The most fun part of the campfire is when two people of each class go to the front and dance around the fire. They need to copy the instructors dance moves.

The event that I most enjoyed on day 3 was the campfire. We did cheers and also learnt new cheers. Even though most of us were tired and exhausted from the CIP event, all of us had fun. There was also a dance competition in campfire. I think it was funny. Even though our class did not win the dance competition we cheered for the other class. From the campfire I learnt to appreciate others and be cooperative with my classmates. I also got to know my classmates more.

Dion
I enjoy the most during the CIP event. During our walk, we did some cheer to maintain our mood and would not get tired easily. We also played games along our way to our stations.
We encouraged each other not to give up easily because we are exhausted after the long walk.
I have learnt about the true meaning of self-confidence. Having confidence is a very important value, without confidence we give up even before we even try the activity.

The event I enjoyed the most during day 3 is the CIP event. We did cheers and games with the lead of our friends. Even though it was a long walk and it was a very tiring event I think I enjoyed the most because of our friends. We cooperated with each other and completed all the tasks and even arrived back at the camp much earlier than the other classes. I felt very proud of our class. From this walk, I learnt about the importance of friends.

Sec2 Camp Day2 (2E8)

Gordon
Day 2

One thing that I like about today’s event is the raft making. We have to build a raft that is able to carry six people but in the end the number is being limited to 3 people. But most of all I enjoy it because I’m able to see my hard work being paid off such as the design of the raft because that’s the first time I tried so hard to defend my idea against someone’s design. Hence I can say that it is the first few steps that I took to become confidence and because I’m always lack of courage to talk this might be what that makes my day.

Jim
The event that I enjoyed most was the kayaking. I learn to speak confidently and learn to be independent. We did some wonderful cheer with our friends. Everyone did well during the camp fire; we did a great cheer together and a great teamwork. Therefore I felt proud of the class. Teamwork is varying important as not everything can be done alone.

Huisi and Janelle
We found the most enjoyable and exciting games is the Milo pond. Even thought we are wet and dirty after going down the mildewed did not regret. When we are preparing to slide down, we have to wear the personal floating device (PFD) so that it could ensure our safety. While we are sitting on the slide, we are scared; however our friends that are on the ground are giving us moral support that gives us courage. We mustered up our courage to slide down the slide and ended up in the cooling pool.

Sec2 Camp Day1 (2E8)

From Aravind:

The first thing we did at the campsite was building our tents. The instructors showed us an example and we followed it to build our own tents. It was very clear that teamwork was very important.

After that we had lunch. The food was not too bad. No one complained but the queue was very long. Next we did some class bonding games like, Using 2 planks to get us from one side to another and the leap of faith in which we had to fall back with trust that our friends would catch us. Many were scared to just fall back but they did and were happy they were caught. This activity made our class closer and it made us trust one another. It taught us to work as one instead of working as individuals.

Next we have some high element activities. We were split into 2 as half of the class was supposed to the do flying fox while the other did abseiling. Even though many were scared everyone finished the task. People managed to conquer their fear of heights. With our friend’s support it made us more confident. Rock climbing was also one of the high element activities. Many did well on climbing the rock wall. Atika and Rose managed to represent the girls in doing well in climbing the wall. They even managed to climb higher than some boys. The boys also did well as Zhi Jun and Zi Han managed to climb up almost three quarter of the wall.

From Denise and Xin Le

The first thing we did after reaching the destination is to build our tents. It shows that teamwork is so important to us. Although it is very tiring but most of us manage to build up the tents.
After that we had lunch.

We had class bonding games such as passing messages around one another and Leap of Faith which we had to trust our friends.
After that some of us did zip line and abseiling. Many of us conquer our fears and enjoyed ourselves very much.

The last thing we did was the night walk, we had to pass down the messages from the instructor as there was no lighting and our instructor was the only one who could see using the light sticks. Along the way, there were many obstacles but we managed to overcome all of them.
